Emily Cook
Pilates Instructor
Movement has been the core of Emily’s life since she started dancing and downhill ski racing at age 3. She participated in the usual sports and performances throughout her formative years. Her love for movement and the outdoors brought her to Montana. In 2001, Emily graduated from Montana State University with a bachelor’s degree in Health Enhancement and a minor in Dance. While attending collage Emily was introduced to Pilates and became instantly addicted, attending as many classes as she could. She found that Pilates gave her a new found confidence and control over her body, like no other physical activity had before. A teacher by nature, Emily realized she wanted to share her new found passion with others, so she obtained her certification in 2006 through Peak Pilates. She has been teaching and training at Peak Bodies since 2006. Emily continues to be intrigued by the ever-deepening layers of the Pilates method, and thinks everyone should try it! When she is not teaching Pilates you can find her in the mountains hiking, biking or skiing with her daughter and her husband. Emily teaches mat and reformer classes, as well as individually.
Rabia Bellante
Yoga Instructor Rabia Bellante is a Yoga Alliance certified instructor with over 10 years of experience. She first completed a Yoga Alliance certified teacher training through YogaMotion in 2002, after studying various hatha yoga styles since ‘95. She then went on to study in 2003/2004 in India at the Bihar School of Yoga, and Vag Yoga Kundalini. She has since returned to India 1 other time for a couple more months of study. She gathers and imparts a wealth of knowledge from eastern tradition and from many of the modern masters who have made yoga accessible to the west. The style of yoga taught by Rabia is Vinyasa flow, an eclectic blend of postures (asanas), movements (kriyas), and alignment principles. It is a style of yoga that allows for fluid movement with breath, emphasizing feeling mode, more the thinking mode, and is entirely tailored to every individual. All classes; gentle, dynamic, or specialized classes for pre- and post- natal, will include yoga pose alignment and flow, breathing practices (pranayama), theory and philosophy, with occasional mythology of poses woven in. It is through the practice of yoga on the mat, that we learn to align our minds and bodies more healthfully off the mat. In class, it remains each students “private practice”, as they are encouraged to cultivate a greater quality of awareness to the choices each makes– on and off the mat. Rabiais also a Nationally Certified Massage Therapist. She serves as a massage therapy instructor at Healthworks Institute, one of the few Nationally accredited massage schools recognized by the US Department of Education. Rabia is also skilled at relieving the stress and symptoms associated with pregnancy, as well as nurturing the bond between mother and baby.
